Today

Time Has Come

Time has come once again

That time I love so much

Winter hid from me today

I was able to feel the suns warm touch

I love this weather so much

The trees are all still bare

Birds chirp with a springy flair

I got to play outside with the dogs

Jumping like we were silly frogs

The grass is still all beige and dead

I see flowers poking out their little green head

Wonderful signs of whats ahead.

Spring is just around the bend

I can not wait until the days grow longer

Watching the flowers grow stronger

Summer is just around the corner

I enjoy my seasons warmer

I know it will be cold next week

Though I have enjoyed this peek

I know the cold will return

This is of little concern.

The Cleaning of Warmth

Why is it the first sign of spring

We all want to clean and organize

I think to everyone this applies

I cleaned off the carport

Just enough to get my car in there

Then I was so proud

I spoke out loud

What to do next

Doing something that really perplexed

In my total bliss

Nothing did I miss

Starting in the kitchen

no I haven't seen that cake you were eating

I throw away all the trash

Even a few things that weren't

I rearranged the living room

In my moving zoom

Washed all the clothes

I hit my head and banged my toes

Now here I sit in a dazed

My kids are now amazed

The weather says another sunny day tomorrow

I wonder if I'll have time to wash the windows

TM 02-09-09

Yesterday was a busy day. The sun was out and the warmth called out to me. Just last week it was 17 degrees here. The dogs and I took full advantage of the weather change. I did clean ... a lot, which I needed to do.
I did get to just sit and observe the weather, animals and the people around. They were all busy, cleaning and playing. It's as if the warm weather called them into duty. Usually you hardly see people out in this neighborhood. I always say " you know spring is coming when my brother washes his car 2 weeks in a row." Silly but its true.

I hope that you have a sunny, happy day.. heck have a sunny week :) Tell' em I said so. LOL
